Free wi-fi AND a new deli? What's not to like over at the FACT cafe?

Here’s something Liverpool needs more of. Delis. We can’t live by Delifonseca alone. Fortunately, the arrival of Lunya and Franklins has helped to add a good dollop of cured meats, fancy cheeses and bread with bits in to our diet.

FACT’s cottoned on to our cosmopolitan bent, and had teamed up with Franklins (the NY inspired deli in St Paul’s Square) to refresh and refocus its perma-popular cafe (complete with free wi-fi, and space to pretend you’re thrashing out the synopsis of your latest novel).

The new space promises hot and cold speciality sandwiches, boxed salads, breakfasts and a curiously tempting ‘Grab and Go’ counter. We like the sound of it. And we bet FACT types will do. Imagine the hullabaloo if they said, sod it, let’s get a Subway in.

And here’s a Franklins fact we like - all of their fresh produce comes from within a 50 mile radius. They manage their carbon footprint by making a weekly trip to Cookson’s Farm in Lancashire, where staff hand select all of the fresh produce.

Opens 10 June.

Franklins at FACT : 8.00am - 9.00pm Monday to Friday, 11.00am - 9.00pm on Saturday and 11.00am – 7.00pm on Sunday. Wood Street, Liverpool
