Now Playing: By The Sea

How do you like your summer shoegaze? How about a Wirral workout replete with echoey guitars and a chilled out Krautrock beat...perfect.

Redefining that psychedelic Wirral groove, and working with with Bill Ryder Jones on their album, it’s not a massive surprise to hear that By The Sea are New Brighton lads (heck, there’s even a touch of Forest Swords in that gauzy, reverb-drenched guitar).

They have a chorus pedal, in short, and they’re not afraid to use it. But why would you be, when the effects are as shimmering and sun-soaked as new single, Dream Waters. A dreamy slice of peninsula pop. Check out the Freakbeat Films video, ahead of the single’s release next month.
