Now Playing: Jethro Fox

Jethro Fox's debut single for Tough Love records is a mini chamber-pop masterpiece. Check it out here.

OK, we admit it, we have a bit of a mancrush on Jethro Fox. And we were waiting like proud and nervous schoolgate parents for his new - debut - single. And we’re not disappointed.

Blinding Light is as assured, honest and smart as we’d hoped it would be. There’s a lot of me-too musicians out there at the moment, retreading those polyrhythmic Brooklyn beats. And, to be frank, we’re getting a little over it all.

Fox is having none of it - and, with Blinding Light, he’s delivered a slow-growing slice of echo-drenched, pastoral summer pop. Sheer bliss.

The 7″ is limited to 300 copies. Get one while you can.
